I have been blessed with many different experiences in my few years at life. Reekers Research and Solutions Center is not focussed on just one thing or helping with just major life issues. I want to let everyone know that I would like to be contacted by anyone for anything and be able to help. I have personal experience starting as a young kid working in lawn care, delivering newspapers, joining and serving in the United States Army Reserve and Active Duty Army, short stint in factory work, work place security in different settings, residential and business cleaning to include carpets and hard surface floors, law enforcement from working in a prison to jail to police to sheriff, being a husband, being a father, being a friend, and working on getting to know God. If you do not follow into any of those categories then thanks to some of the people I know and subjects that I have read about and the Internet there is a good chance that I could be of some value to you or somebody you know.
I am not at this making any money or trying to advertise for anything or anyone. I feel I have an obligation to help and serve other in any way I can and this is one of the ways that I am trying to do it. I think I have been of some value to a few so far and want to expand to others.

We control our own destiny
Nobody is just going to give you anything in life. We control our own destiny along with some oversight from the grace of God. If you choose to do nothing with your life then you have made a choice and that is likely what you will get.
I have created Reekers Research and Solutions Center to give advice and support to others to help them in any way I can. In helping others I am getting something in return for my efforts. I doesn't mean that I am getting money or tangible gifts, but I am getting fulfillment and satisfaction and that is something. If you are happy with the way things are then you have achieved all that you want and need. I have not reached that level yet.
I am doing okay financially but I am not rich, out of debt or ready to retire. Even though I did not do well in elementary and high school since becoming an adult I have committed to becoming a life long learner. The way I see it that is the only choice. I enjoyed my time in college for the time I was in but I have no fancy degrees. I did learn that there is more out there than most will want to teach or that anyone has time to. I have gotten more out of educating myself by reading and listening to what others have to say. Thanks to technology self learning is easier than ever and that is why I am here.
I have a mission to help people and I know in turn it will help me. I plan to keep on reading books and listening to people talk. I enjoy this format along with all the other information sharing opportunities but sometimes you have to separate from all the devices and just grab a shovel and go. I get tremendous satisfaction at just putting my back into it and getting my hands dirty too.

The beginning
Today I take the first step to making Reekers Research and Solution Center a reality. December 13, 2010 is the day I have taken the first step past conception. With the support of my wife I have started this blog and created email accounts to begin my mission if researching solutions for a better way of life. I have been inspired over the last couple of years to make a difference in my life and in order to do that I realize that I can best do that by making a difference in the lives of others.
I have gotten involved in several areas of small community life and have enjoyed it. I first got involved with Cub Scouts with my son and became the leader to make sure that Scouting was available to kids in our community. I became more active in my church and find it very fulfilling to get involved. While attending a city council meeting one evening when my kids were at bible school I became aware of a future vacancy that needed to be filled and later found myself getting appointed to that position after applying for it. I then got elected to the position in 2009 defeating a write-in candidate.
I accredit propelling myself to these positions by first getting motivated listen to Tony Robins on an infomercial and buying one of his programs. As crazy as it seems I spent a lot of money on it and did not start the program when it was delivered. One day I decided to start listening and my life began to change and things started clicking. I was completely in to Tony and started using many of his ideas to make life changes.
Books, CD's and talk radio began to become a part of my life. There is so much great information out there and I was learning that studying what has worked for others could work for me too. There is no one secret to life, but many pieces of a puzzle that come together to make your own picture ( I have to admit that just came to me and sounds good, if it has not been said before it should have and feel free to quote me). In taking in all of the information over the last couple of years and a lifetime I have learned that there is no bad information or topic to study, it is what you do with that information and have the ability to apply or know that it is not for you is what is important.
In typing my first blog post I find that this could be a very creative outlet to help me become a better person so I can in turn help others. I am excited to begin this journey and pick up others along the way.
