The facebook page and this blog have not taken off as I have hoped it to and it is in strong part of my lack of total commitment to it. It is not easy to operate on no budget using free information and free sites. I have learned a great deal about what needs to happen to launch a new idea and get an online community off of the ground. I have learned so much in fact that I know I do not have the time available to do what I really want to accomplish.
With that being said I will be posting a lot less if at all on this blog. I have had 0 comments and one person join in the last 3 months. Blogspot may not get the traffic that a person needs to get the word out and on my next launch when I have a small personal financial commitment to my project I will likely move to Wordpress blog. Many of the blogs that I follow that are great and have many followers are on Wordpress and that seems the place to go.
There is no set date for my new launch but it will be when the time is right. For those of you who have been following Thank you and know that I can be contacted at any of the sites but will not be posting much if at all.
Thank you

True Givers Never Stop
A few days ago I made a commitment to blog at least 3 times a week. Now that I make the commitment I find it is easier to pick topics to blog about.
Today I went to the local Caseys store to get fountain drinks for lunch and ran in to a co-worker that also works at night that I run into on occasion. He was getting pizza and during our conversation mentioned it was his birthday. I mentioned it was my sons birthday also and we continued to talk in the check out line. After he paid for his pizza and before he left he offered me a piece and I politely declined since I had taken care of lunch already.
It was not until I got home that I realized that I was just witness to a true giver. I know him a little and know that he is a very nice, mild mannered, church going person but had not really ever seen him out of our work setting. I have no doubt that if I needed that pizza to feed somebody he would have given it up and likely not thought twice about it. That is the type of person we all should strive to be.
I learned myself that doing and giving more of time and money is very rewarding. If you truly give and expect nothing in return things just seem to work out better. I have been working hard over the last couple of years to be a better giver and I have noticed better things happen to me and I am able to connect with people better. I used to think that my luck had changed because everything seemed to fall into place better or when I needed something that next thing I knew it was there. I have since realized that it is no accident and it is definitely not luck.
In following Dave Ramsey I have learned to become a giver even though we are working on getting rid of all our debt. Our family gives more now than we ever have and we are getting out of debt in leaps and bounds even though my wife no longer works full time. I firmly believe that because now we control our finances instead of our finances controlling us and making sure that we take the time to give that God has smiled upon us and when that happens things just fall into place.
If you are not a true giver just give a try and know that you must give and never expect the favor back in return for it to truly be a gift. You will be a better person for it.

In keeping up with a blog
Well I did promise to blog Three times a week so here is my attempt. I continue to read others blogs more than my own and I am not alone in that. This blog needs a take off and I am continually learning what will make my mission of helping others take off.
Today I learned about Quora from another blog that I follow it sounds interesting and I plan on checking it out after the blog is completed. Maybe I will report on it later this week.
I just wonder who is looking at this if anyone and then I also wonder if I should use a different blog site to make it easier to search and read what I post.
Any comments are very welcome and recommended.

What are your dreams and How Can I Help?
I have been looking for inspiration to add interest to the blog. I was full speed ahead when I started on December 13, 2010. I then slowly slacked off and then blamed writers block on the fact that I did not want to blog. Then I just became lazy and did not do and figured that I will not even look at my blog since it appeared no one else was either.
I now want to set a goal of blogging at least 3 times a week to keep my blog fresh and continue to work on attracting a following to help people achieve their goals and dreams.
I went to a day long retreat this last Saturday in Iowa City where Matthew Kelly was the featured speaker for the day. He has many great messages about life and that works with many businesses to make them more successful, he is an author of several books, and speaks on the Catholic Church and bringing people back. Here is the link to his website http://www.matthewkelly.org/ I have almost completed his book Rediscover Catholicism A Spiritual Guide to Living With Passion & Purpose and I have also started Mustard Seeds Daily Thoughts to Grow With. Mustard Seeds is a book that will bring you a thought for every day of the year that I started on February 20th and I will let you know what I thought of it next year.
I am a convert to Catholicism with the main reason being that my wife grew up Catholic and of course wanted a wedding mass that we could both partake in. We also did not want a home split by religion when it came to raising children. I had no problem going to the classes and making the switch and enjoyed learning more about the church and after it was all done we got married in the Catholic Church and would usually attend mass and both of our children were baptized in the Catholic Church.
The last couple of years I have become more involved with the church in many different areas and my life has begin to change and I have become driven to, as Matthew Kelly says, become the best version of myself. I am working everyday on that goal and want to also help others become the best versions of themselves too.
Don't mistake this blog for trying to convert everyone to Catholicism but I do realize that participating more in your particular church is not a bad thing. I just talked to a friend this last week and how his church is making a difference in his life and he is not going to a Catholic church. He is going to a different type of church than what he was raised in as a child. I have found that converting to a different church as an adult helps you become more interested with your particular church. I think that a couple of reasons are that as an adult you can learn and appreciate more and you are not pushed into it or know that you have a choice in how you worship and pray.
I know that this blog has run a little long but I am glad to be back at it and will continue to work at bringing on more interesting topics.
So as the title states WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS AND HOW CAN I HELP?
PLEASE COMMENT

Don't Let the Cold Stop You from Exploring
As I now sit at the Mac it is 5 degrees Fahrenheit outside an light flurries. There could not be a better time to explore what the Internet has to offer. Today for example I went to my personal facebook page and Sue & Steve Show tuned me in to http://www.tut.com and it looks like a great site that will help with goal setting and keeping motivated. I could spend all day checking out sites taking in information and expanding my mind and resource list to be able to help others. It is amazing how in the last 2 1/2 hours what I have taken in.
I want to encourage everyone to go and check out new things and get a little out of your comfort zone to look at things you otherwise may not. If I had not taken some of this advice this blog and everything associated with it would not exist. Facebook is a great way to connect with friends, but there are also many other pages that you can connect to that will open you to new ideas. I have also begun to follow many on twitter with great links and great ideas that can get you out of your normal day to day environment. Starting a blog is also a great way to journal your thoughts so that you can look back and see what you were thinking and doing when you post. Although few if any people may read or view your blog it is a great way to put ideas in a record and you may just be able to connect with someone with similar ideas. Even if you do not want to have a blog for just anyone to view start a personal hand written journal. I am bad at keeping up my journals but found that what I have written down can be valuable to look at to see what I was thinking and where I am at today.
The most important thing is that you always try to better yourself and have goals. If you get caught up too much in the anxieties of everyday life you will loose focus and get off of the track that you have set through goals. I assure anyone that reads this that I will have a better plan to organize my thoughts instead of jumping around but it is fun just getting the ideas out there.
Now for my most important work, getting off of the computer and spending time with my family and maybe playing a board game and taking advantage of the temperature inside.

New information that could help hundreds of people
Studies have found that engaging with others and reading can stimulate the mind. I have found that interacting with others online and reading and participating in blog comments and conversations is a good learning tool. Interacting with others from around the country and around the world can open your eyes to many different opinions and ideas. I can imagine a day when this blog will be full of comments and information that will be of benefit to many.
In my continued studies and participation on other blogs I hope to discover what it is and what people are looking for and how to bring them into the conversation. I know that more frequent post and interesting topics are the key to a successful blog. My focus is on helping and serving others. Perhaps instead of talking about it I need to do just that instead of rant and rave on my sounding board.
With that in mind I will try to post topics that can help and serve people. I anyone has anything in mind let me know and if not I will go with what I know.
What is a topic that interests you?
